NORTH DAKOTA FAMILY ALLIANCE PROVIDES A “CELEBRATE FAMILY WEEK” PSA TO AIR NOVEMBER 10-21, 2009
The North Dakota Family Alliance’s (NDFA) 3rd annual Family Week begins Sunday, November 15th. Believing that the family is the foundation of society and that family values in North Dakota need protecting, the NDFA initiates and promotes key issues through legislation and public causes.
North Dakota Governor John Hoeven issued a Family Week Proclamation at the NDFA’s request. In addition to the statewide awareness of Family Week through this proclamation and posters to every North Dakota school and church, many businesses and various groups are drawing attention to Family Week.
This year’s Family Week Celebration is focusing on ‘parenting’. Events and activities of the week center on children and the role of parents. Each day during the week a unique parenting message will be shared, dealing with the importance of family talk, fatherhood, the cultural influence on children, developing a connection with your kids and keys to step-parenting.
Please air this PSA promoting “Celebrate Family Week” beginning immediately and run it through November 21st. Beginning on November 16th, you will receive a daily PSA for that day and subsequent PSA’s for each succeeding day of the week.
Hi, this is First Lady Mikey Hoeven asking you to join our family in celebrating “Family Week” 2009. Governor Hoeven has by proclamation, designated November 15th-21st as Family Week to focus on the importance of the family, family values, and the family spending time together.
This year’s area of emphasis is on “parenting”. Whether a traditional, blended, or single parent family, our children want mothers and dads to spend time with them. Please plan events and activities, inside and outside of the home, to create those special memories which will last a lifetime.
Remember, the most valuable possession we have is TIME, let’s spend it together as a family.
