Developing a Closer Relationship with Your Kids
Tom “Developing a Closer Relationship with Your Kids”, today’s topic for ‘Celebrating Family Week’, 2009.
This is Tom Freier asking you to join the North Dakota Family Alliance as we promote families spending time together.
Here is Former First Lady Nancy Schafer…
Our children will remember two things when they grow older: how much love was in the home, and how much time we spent with them.
We can nurture this closeness with something as simple as eye contact. Looking directly into their eyes when they speak tells volumes about how much we care, and is a great way to nurture a loving relationship.
We need to enter into our children’s world. We need to ask caring questions about them, and then listen for what is in their hearts.
Great relationships with our kids don’t just happen. Take the time to plan your schedule to reflect your intimate feelings for your children and your children will feel loved and valued for a lifetime.
